Environmental and Sustainability Studies, B.A.

This degree program is a joint effort between New Century College in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Environmental Science and Policy in the College of Science.

Students take a core of courses and complete a specialized concentration. A hallmark of this degree program is that all students participate in experiential learning through internships, field studies, service learning, or study abroad.

The Environmental and Sustainability Studies program is a recipient of the Curriculum Scholarship Development Grant (SDG) from OSCAR in support of Cultivating Environmental and Sustainability Studies Scholars, which was awarded in 2011-12.
