Students Taking Classes

Deadline to resolve Incomplete Grades for Fall 2008. Students should communicate with their instructors and advisors to ensure a grade is assigned.

Theses/Dissertation Defenses and Graduation

December 3
Online graduation intent form for SPRING.

March 14
Graduate Intent Form for SUMMER.

April 7
Graduate Applications to the departments for Graduate and Certificate students.

ESP recommended deadline to have complete Thesis/Dissertation Defense. This deadline allows 10 days to make text edits, prepare and meet final University deadline for submission.

At least 15 days prior to your defense date:

  1. Provide ESP with information about your defense (your name, department, dissertation title, committee chairperson, committee members, date, time, and place of defense).
  2. Submit an electronic copy of your abstract to your department.
  3. Provide the Johnson Center Library with a complete draft of your dissertation.
       

May 1 SPRING deadline for Thesis and Dissertations submission

Deadline to submit completed dissertation to Fenwick Library (by 5:00 pm). Dissertations submitted after this time will qualify for graduation in August.

  • Your committee, program director, department chairperson, and the COS Senior Associate Dean, and the /co-/Deans/s/ of COS must sign three copies of your dissertation (in black ink) before they are submitted to the library.
  • One dissertation copy should be on white 100% cotton bond paper (20 or 24 pound). The second copy can be on regular paper, unless using electronic archiving.
  • Once committee and departmental signatures are obtained, the dissertation, with completed signature page(s) must be submitted to the Fenwick Library UTDS office prior to 5 PM, Friday, May 1.

 

July 31 SUMMER deadline for Thesis and Dissertation submission

Same guidelines as above apply.
