Graduate Programs
Extended Studies Nondegree Program in Environmental Science and Policy
The Extended Studies Program is an excellent option for guests from other institutions and lifelong learners who have no immediate degree objective at George Mason University, to enroll in courses for which they are qualified without seeking degree program admission. Students may elect to take undergraduate or graduate courses, depending upon their educational level, and later apply a limited number of those courses towards an undergraduate or graduate degree at George Mason University. For example, graduate level coursework taken within 6 years of admission to a degree program that is related to the degree program of study with a grade of "B" or better can generally be applied to the M.S. or Ph.D. degree programs in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy. There are limitations on the number of hours that can be transferred into a degree program. Admission to Mason as a nondegree student is competitive and also based on space availability.
