The GSA is a new organization at GMU, comprised of graduate students in the ESP department, or any department for that matter, whose interests include any aspect of biology or environmental policy.
Graduate Student Representative
The Graduate Student Representative for ESP is nominated and elected by his or her peers. It is the representative's job to inform ESP faculty and the university administration of the needs and views of all ESP graduate students at faculty meetings or in other settings.The representative expresses student positions on issues such as course offerings, student quality of life concerns, conflict between students and a faculty member, and student recognition programs.
The representative serves a two-year term and then calls for new elections. Katheryn Patterson is the current Graduate Student Representative for ESP, she can be contacted via e-mail.
