Funding opportunity for PhD students for Spring 2016

The Executive Graduate Committee will be offering 7 Research Fellowships of up to $5,500 each for the Spring 2016 semester.

To apply:

  1. Please submit for evaluation a written statement (up to 3 pages) describing your research and justifying your needs, including a detailed budget (research supplies, equipment, travel funds, but not tuition) with an explanation of the impact the funding will have on the ability to complete your research.  For each submission, please include your name and the name of your advisor
  2. Your application must also be accompanied by a supporting letter from your advisor.
  3. You must have advanced to candidacy.
  4. Funds will need to be spent well before May 1, 2016 (in consultation with Roslyn Cress and Lisa Bair).  Any travel must be completed by May 1.

Applications are due by January 15, 2016.

Dissertation/Thesis Deadline: May 8

Last day of classes: May 11

Reading Day(s): May 12

Final Exam Period: May 13-20

University Commencement: May 22 (tentative)
