Dr. Thomas Lovejoy to receive NCSE Lifetime Achievement Award

Congratulations to Dr. Thomas Lovejoy who will be been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Council for Science and the Environment’s (NCSE) 17th National Conference and Global Forum on Science, Policy and the Environment at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City near the Washington, DC National Airport.

The conference dates are January 24-26, 2017 and the award presentation is on January 25, 2017 from 10:30-11:00am.

NCSE’s Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who significantly contribute to environmental science and correcting environmental issues. Throughout his life, Dr. Lovejoy has worked nationally and internationally at the interface of science and environmental policy, helping to bring biodiversity issues to the forefront of people’s minds.

NCSE’s annual National Conference and Global Forum is recognized for its notable presenters, innovative programming, and outcome-oriented approach. This year’s conference, Integrating Environment and Health, will explore critical current issues and new dimensions in environmental health and develop solutions-based approaches to these issues. The conference is organized by the National Council for Science and the Environment, which is dedicated to improving the scientific basis for environmental decision-making by bridging the gap between science and policy to catalyze solutions.
