Dr. Jennifer Sklarew’s 25 years of energy and environmental policymaking and analysis inform her research and teaching. Her work examines how institutional relationships and catastrophic events drive energy and environmental policymaking and change.  Her funded research also includes exploration of integrative solutions to challenges at the nexus of energy and water sector resilience.  Dr. Sklarew has published and presented her work in the United States and abroad.  She teaches graduate and undergraduate energy policy courses she developed for ESP.  Her prior professional experience spans the public and private sectors, including time in the U.S. and Japanese governments, an energy consulting firm, and a Japanese energy research institute.  A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Dr. Sklarew received her Ph.D. in public policy from George Mason University, her MA from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and her BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
