Hampton Roads Sanitation District Environmental Scholarship

Applications are available for the Hampton Roads Sanitation District Environmental Scholarship. One or more students will be selected to receive scholarships of up to $3,000 for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Applicants must have financial need and be full-time graduate students at a public Virginia university in one of the following fields: environmental sciences, environmental health, environmental chemistry, biology, or civil or environmental engineering. The student must be a resident of a locality within the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) service area. This includes Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and the counties of Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, King & Queen, King William, Mathews, Middlesex and York. HRSD interns may apply. HRSD employees, commissioners and their relatives are not eligible to apply.

JMD Furniture Scholarship

JMD Furniture would like to offer students a wonderful scholarship opportunity. JMD Furniture understands that college prices are always going up and wants to contribute $1000 per year to help students lower the fee for their education.

Scholarship Details:
Students are eligible to apply for this scholarship if they are a current college or university student that hasn’t reached their final year yet, or a high school senior that has already been accepted into a college or university. To apply, students will be asked to submit a 500 word essay. More details are provided at the link below.
